COMINICATO STAMPA → Si inaugura il 9 Aprile 2022 a Villa Pisani Stra la mostra di Enrique Breccia Viaggio a Venezia a cura di Elena Dell’Andrea e sarà visitabile fino al 8 Maggio 2022. Nell’epoca della Società liquida, dove anche il concetto di Arte ha dissolto i suoi confini, emerge la figura di Enrique Breccia, un artista a tutto tondo, che con facilità passa da un medium all’altro, dalla pittura, all’illustrazione; dall’acquerello, alla xilografia. All’apice della sua lunga carriera, che ha inizio nel 1968 con la pubblicazione de La Vida del Che, una biografia di Che Guevara scritta da Héctor Germán Oesterheld, inauguriamo qui a Villa Pisani, la mostra Enrique Breccia – Viaggio a Venezia, consapevoli del grande valore artistico delle strisce e delle tavole originali, realizzate a mano, create appositamente per l’omonimo libro edito da Remer Comics. La Mostra si snoda con armonico equilibrio in tre stanze, che scandiscono le tre storie di Venezia presenti nel libro narrate dalla penna di Barbara Pilon e illustrate dal Maestro Enrique Breccia, alternate da una selezione di tavole a colori, che ripercorrono l’immaginario onirico a cui l’Artista ci introduce con la sua Opera. Racconti avvincenti, realizzati con diverse tecniche, che il Maestro predilige nella realizzazione del fumetto, riconosciuto anche dal Ministero della Cultura come la Nona Arte: illustrazione a pastello, acquerello, inchiostro a china, dei personaggi più famosi come Alvar Mayor, di prossima ristampa. Come in un cammino iniziatico, guidati da Breccia, percorriamo un viaggio nell’inconscio umano collettivo popolato da fantasmi, mostri, eroi, bellissime donne, natura selvaggia, immensi deserti e distese marine, in un dialogo junghiano con la nostra Anima. La grande capacità dell’Artista è quella di animare le parole e rendere reale e tangibile la materia del sogno, come immersi in una rêverie. Ponte tra culture e crocevia di scambi, Venezia è lo sfondo ideale di questo percorso. È l’acqua il liquido amniotico che crea i capolavori ad acquerello di Moeche, gradazioni di grigio che si trasformano nell’inchiostro nero delle seppie seccato sui masegni di bianca pietra d’Istria per le tavole a china del Delirio di Fra’ Mauro, per diventare illustrazione nel Dono di Røst. Chiude il percorso la teca con un omaggio a Breccia. Sullo sfondo, in un caleidoscopio di colori scorrono le immagini delle tecniche utilizzate dal Maestro, che hanno origine nella stampa d’Arte in particolare rimandano alla graffiante xilografia, che rende le sue tavole così uniche e particolari, che si addolciscono nell’acquarello.

La personale dedicata al Maestro nella prestigiosa sede di Villa Pisani, una delle più belle Ville venete della Riviera del Brenta presenterà gli inediti originali del Maestro sulla città lagunare. L’esposizione, ha il patrocinio del Comune di Stra, di Riff- Rete Italiana Festival del Fumetto e del Museo Nazionale di Villa Pisani, con la partnership tecnica di Generali – Bortoli Assicurazioni e Atipico. La Mostra presenterà una ventina di grandi tavole inedite ed in originale a coprire le tre storie narrate nel libro che Breccia ha dedicato alla città di Venezia, oltre ad altre tavole che racconteranno la carriera e l’amore per Venezia del Maestro argentino. Il Libro Curato dalla Casa Editrice veneziana Remer Comics in contemporanea con le Celebrazioni per i 1600 anni di Venezia, il volume illustrato Enrique Breccia – Viaggio a Venezia è una raccolta di tre episodi ambientati nella Città veneziana e sospesi tra realtà e sogno. Tre brevi racconti sceneggiati da Barbara Pilon, tre modi diversi di interpretare la Città di Venezia tra realtà, storia, sogno e fantasia. Tre gioielli cesellati da un grande Artista e dedicati a una Città che è universale simbolo di bellezza. Sono pagine molto lavorate e hanno richiesto tempo, non solo per disegnarle ma soprattutto per cercare di rispecchiare lo stato d’animo. Nelle tre storie c’è un profondo senso poetico e umanistico che rappresenta una vera sfida per l’interpretazione grafica. E questo mi ha gratificato e stimolato moltissimo.

ENRIQUE BRECCIA Viaggio a Venezia cenni biografici

Chi è Enrique Breccia. Enrique Breccia nasce nel 1946 in Argentina. Ha realizzato il suo primo lavoro nel 1968, quando ha illustrato La Vida del Che, una biografia del rivoluzionario Che Guevara scritta da Héctor Germán Oesterheld. Nel 1972 inizia la sua collaborazione con la Casa editrice inglese Fleetway, disegnando il fumetto Spy 13 con uno pseudonimo, e poi una serie di storie di guerra per la rivista italiana Linus. La sua collaborazione più conosciuta in Italia è quella con lo sceneggiatore Carlos Trillo, con il quale realizza El Buen Dios, immediatamente seguito da Alvar Mayor, il suo più famoso personaggio, Robin delle stelle, El Peregrino de la Estrellas, il surreale Los Viajes del Marco Mono e El Reino del Azul. Nel 1983 ha disegnato Ibáñez scritto da Robin Wood, e, l’anno seguente, El Sueñero e El Cazador del Tiempo di cui è anche sceneggiatore. Ha anche realizzato parecchi adattamenti a fumetti di romanzi famosi come L’Isola del tesoro e Moby Dick. Nel 1987 ha pubblicato il romanzo a fumetti Lope de Aguirre. Nel 2000 inizia la sua collaborazione con gli editori americani di fumetti, lavorando su X-Force per la Marvel, e per la DC Comics Legion Worlds e Batman: Gotham Knights. Nel 2002 ha disegnato il romanzo a fumetti Lovecraft, sulla vita dello scrittore H. P. Lovecraft scritto da Hans Rodionoff, per la Vertigo. Sempre per la Casa editrice statunitense nel 2005 è diventato l’Artista principale della serie Swamp Thing, disegnando 22 numeri fino al 2007. Dal 2012 vive in Italia, dove collabora con la Casa editrice 001. Nel 2012, per la Sergio Bonelli Editore, ha realizzato una storia di Dylan Dog pubblicata sull’ottavo volume del Dylan Dog Color Fest, poi uno speciale estivo di Tex Willer, il cosiddetto Texone, intitolato Capitan Jack, su testi di Tito Faraci, pubblicato nel giugno 2016. Da pochi mesi è uscito nelle Edicole il nuovo Tex Willer dal titolo Snakeman edizione speciale interamente a colori.
