COMUNICATO STAMPA → Si inaugura a Roma Venerdì 7 Aprile e visitabile fino al 31 Maggio 2023, la Mostra retrospettiva di Gianpaolo Berto dal titolo Pittura per la Pittura: Gianpaolo Berto privato, allestita nella Galleria AAIE Center For Contemporary Art in Via Sermide 7 e curata da Yongxu Wang in collaborazione con Gabriella e Pier Luigi Berto e Floriano Caroli. AAIE è orgogliosa di presentare una retrospettiva dell’Opera di Gianpaolo Berto, uno dei più dotati e interessanti pittori e incisori italiani del secondo dopoguerra. La Mostra, intitolata “Pittura per la Pittura: Gianpaolo Berto privato”, si terrà dal 7 Aprile al 31 Maggio 2023 e presenterà una selezione di dipinti, collages, fotografie personali e alcuni strumenti usati dall’artista. Nato e cresciuto ad Adria nel 1940, dove un nuovo clima culturale si andava formando attorno alle figure di Cibotto, Scarpari, Reali, Rizzi, Palmieri, Gioli. Poi a Rovigo dipinge con Prudenziato e Breseghello e diventa amico di Gabbris Ferrari. Il folgorante incontro con i maestri Tono Zancanaro e Carlo Levi costituisce il trampolino di lancio di questo eclettico artista nel mondo della pittura contemporanea italiana. Pur essendo stato tra i pochissimi ammessi allo studio di De Chirico (ma anche di Guttuso e Picasso), e aver esposto in prestigiose Gallerie e Musei, Berto prediligeva il contatto, in chiave anti-elitaria, con le cerchie di pubblico più genuino: allievi, gente semplice, artisti e intellettuali che conducono la propria ricerca con rigore e autonomia rispetto alle correnti di tendenza. Berto ha insegnato Tecniche dell’Incisione. La Mostra presenterà una serie di ritratti della famiglia, nature morte, paesaggi naturalistici oltre alle sue particolari vedute di Venezia. I visitatori potranno ammirare l’uso caratteristico che Berto fa del colore, della luce e dell’ombra per creare profondità e consistenza nelle sue Opere, nonché la sua grande attenzione ai dettagli e alle emozioni dei suoi soggetti.
