CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA a Potenza
COMUNICATO STAMPA → A Potenza Cavalleria Rusticana sabato 4 e domenica 5 dicembre al Teatro Francesco Stabile. Il Maestro Menchise alla Direzione dell’Opera Live Orchestra e del Coro lirico Euromediterraneo. Tutti i dettagli presentati oggi durante la Conferenza Stampa. Si è svolta nella mattinata di oggi, Martedì 30 Novembre 2021, nella Sala degli Specchi del Teatro Francesco Stabile di Potenza la Conferenza stampa di presentazione dell’Opera lirica Cavalleria rusticana che sarà eseguita Sabato 4 Dicembre (ingresso ore 20 e sipario ore 20.30) e Domenica 5 (ingresso ore 17,30 e sipario ore 18) dall’Opera Live Orchestra e dal Coro lirico Euromediterraneo diretti dal Maestro concertatore e Direttore d’Orchestra Pasquale Menchise. Una produzione complessa a cui collaborano il Maestro Vincenzo Terrana alla direzione del Coro e al pianoforte il Maestro Nicola Iannielli. Firma la regia Nicoletta Perondi. Un’idea che viene da lontano, quella di proporre nel prestigioso Teatro del capoluogo lucano l’Opera di Pietro Mascagni, su libretto di Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti e Guido Menasci, tratta dalla novella omonima di Giovanni Verga. La prima opera di Mascagni, certamente la più nota fra le sedici da lui composte. Il M°aestro Menchise ci pensava già da tempo, come lui stesso ha detto in Conferenza Stampa … Nel 2019 già dopo la messa in scena di Tosca allo Stabile e di Pagliacci in Piazza Mario Pagano avevo in mente, ha spiegato il Maestro Menchise, di proseguire su questa scia con Cavalleria rusticana, una delle Opere liriche che da sempre mi suscita grandi emozioni. Vera peculiarità sarà la sinergia con i talenti del territorio, professionisti e anche giovanissimi, del mondo del canto e della danza. Ad aprire la serata sarà, infatti, un inedito Prologo per Cavalleria. Un unico atto. Per la sua durata, un’ora e dieci, la messa in scena di quest’Opera per tradizione si è sempre accompagnata a quella di un’altra più piccola, e solitamente si preferiva Pagliacci di Leoncavallo. Ho scelto, invece, … ha sottolineato il Maestro Pasquale Menchise … di proporre al pubblico l’esecuzione di tre brani tratti da altrettante Opere diverse in un preambolo impreziosito dal Coro ragazzi Melos, coinvolto nella persona della Direttrice Vincenza Carlucci, e dal corpo di ballo del Centro Studio Loncar, a cura di Patricia Loncar, che si esibirà in due di questi tre brani. Durante la Conferenza stampa, ospitata nella splendida cornice della Sala degli Specchi da dove, tra l’altro, l’occhio si allunga sull’antico pianoforte utilizzato da Leoncavallo quando abitò in un vicolo vicino, a ridosso di Piazza Mario Pagano, e sul quale compose proprio la sua più celebre opera, Pagliacci, sono stati illustrati tutti i dettagli. Presentato il cast di rilievo internazionale. Protagonisti in scena saranno: Silvia Pacini, Soprano (Santuzza), Delfo Paone, Tenore (Turiddu), Mamuka Lomidze, Baritono (Alfio), Elena Kanakis, Mezzosoprano (mamma Lucia), Angelica Disanto, Soprano (Lola). … Un evento di respiro internazionale con la presenza del Maestro Menchise e di molti cantanti che vedremo impegnati nell’esecuzione di quest’Opera. Sono qui per esprimere l’onore di promuovere e patrocinare come Comune di Potenza un appuntamento culturale di grande qualità che … ha sottolineato l’Assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Potenza, Stefania D’Ottavio, intervenuta all’appuntamento con i Giornalisti … di fatto, apre il Programma di eventi natalizi della Città. In più, colgo il merito di un prestigioso evento lirico che sa coinvolgere anche altre espressioni dell’Arte con il contributo e l’impegno di tanti professionisti del canto e della danza. Trovo soprattutto lodevole la capacità di produrre e realizzare, in un momento così difficile, una rappresentazione di un simile livello riuscendo a mantenere quella centralità nell’attrezzarsi al meglio e mettendo insieme tanto lavoro, impegno ed entusiasmo da parte di quanti lavorano in quella che è una vera e propria struttura industriale che produce Cultura di qualità nel nostro territorio. Voi siete … ha concluso l’Assessore D’Ottavio … il braccio armato della Cultura e della bellezza della Città. L’esecuzione di Cavalleria Rusticana al Teatro Francesco Stabile di Potenza rientra nell’ambito della IX stagione lirico-sinfonica-Festival Basilicata lirica del Capoluogo. Una produzione promossa dall’Orchestra da camera e sinfonica lucana e che si avvale del Patrocinio del Ministero della Cultura, della Regione Basilicata e del Comune di Potenza.
