Spingo il soprano giù, al limite della sua estensione vocale, voglio che si percepisca la fatica, la sofferenza. E poi l’Orchestra d’Archi e un Violino solista, Marco Serino. La poesia di Primo Levi finisce quasi con una maledizione, con la minaccia di un laico anatema verso chi provasse la tentazione di dimenticare … Meditate che questo è stato, scrive infatti Levi.
… Ho provato a vincere il pudore, il timore di rovinare la loro perfezione, racchiusa nell’angoscia che comunicano. Volevo soltanto servirli, per non dimenticare. Lui continua a chiederci questo … Meno male, Levi ha trovato la forza di parlare, di scrivere. Per noi … conclude Ennio Morricone.
Primo Levi, sopravvissuto ad Auschwitz, pubblicò Se questo è un uomo nel 1947. Questo capolavoro letterario, forte e tragica testimonianza della sua esperienza nel Lager, è stato il suo primo libro.
